    Nordic International University is the first modern private educational cluster in Uzbekistan, based on the advanced achievements of Finland and other Northern European countries in the field of education, in particular, including preschool education, a comprehensive school, and a higher education institution. The university is located in the center of Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The university began its activities under license No. 034528 from the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Education Quality under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Opening ceremony of the International Nordic University Mission of the University The scientific - academic processes at the university places special emphasis on developing a system of training scientific - pedagogical personnel based on the principles of continuity and consistency of scientific processes, as well as harmonious integration into the world education and scientific community; encouraging the introduction of innovations into the sectors of the republic's economy; and expanding opportunities for commercialization of knowledge and scientific research results. History of the University On May 27, 2022, during the 10th meeting of Uzbekistan-Finland Foreign Ministers on political consultations held in Tashkent, agreements were reached to establish a modern private higher education institution based on the advanced achievements of Northern European countries in the field of education. Accordingly, based on Finland's advanced educational achievements International Nordic University commenced its activities in Tashkent with direct support from Finland’s Karelia University of Applied Sciences (UAS), the Helsingin Suomalainen Yhteiskoulu (SYK) comprehensive school, Nokia multinational corporation, Finnish Water Forum organization, and ISKU company. The official opening of International Nordic University took place on September 8, 2022. Organizational Structure of the University The supreme body of the university is the University Governing Board, which consists of the founders of the university. The rector, Doctor of Economics Mustafakulov Sherzod Igamberdiyevich oversees all aspects of the university's activities. The collegial governing body of the university is the University Council, which consists of the university leadership and leading professors. Some aspects of the university's activities are carried out by vice-rectors: the vice-rector for academic and youth affairs, as well as the vice-rector for financial affairs. One of the main strategic partners in the educational process of the International Nordic University is the Karelian University of Applied Sciences in Finland. The experience of the Karelian UAS is widely used in educational programs and methodologies, know-how, educational management systems, teacher training, and other areas. The educational process is carried out based on 2+2 and 3+1 programs established with this university. It prepares competitive personnel in modern areas, analyzing global trends in education, personnel requirements and the future aspirations of young people. Classes are taught by local and foreign professors. Also, educational processes are carried out in conjunction with internships abroad, work experience, master classes, and startup development with the participation of foreign business practitioners and international partners. In addition to English and Russian, Finnish is taught during the 1st-4th year of study. Students of all majors will have the opportunity to participate in Work and Travel programs in countries such as Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark during the summer holidays. After the 2nd year, you can continue your studies at Finnish universities and receive a double degree. The educational process at the University is organized in Uzbek and other languages in accordance with the syllabuses and programs developed taking into account the requirements of the State Education Standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan and approved by the University. Education at the university is carried out in the form of full-time, part-time, evening and distance education using digital technologies, webinars, "blended learning" and other modern educational technologies. Education at the university is based on tuition fee, taking into account the requirements of the state education standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to the syllabuses and programs approved by the University and its foreign partners, as well as educational grants provided by legal entities - potential employers, legal and physical entities allocated for the education of young people and sponsorship donations as well as other sources not prohibited by law.
