I’m worldbuilding a high-fantasy story and I’ve hit a bit of a creative block. I want my noble families to feel distinct, memorable, and fit the tone of a rich, magical kingdom.

I’m particularly struggling to come up with last names that convey power, lineage, and mystique. Does anyone have tips or examples of fantasy royal last names that feel authentic yet original? I’d love suggestions for names that aren’t overused in other media and would be believable in a kingdom setting.
