How to Play Paper io

The controls are simple, but the strategy is everything. Here is how it works:

Movement: Use arrow keys on desktop or swipe gestures on mobile to guide your square.

Claiming Territory: Move outside your zone to draw a path. When you connect your path back to your color, the enclosed area becomes part of your land.

Defending Yourself: If someone crosses your trail before you close it, you’re knocked out.

Eliminating Others: You can defeat opponents by crossing their trail while they’re outside their zone.

The game ends when you’re eliminated, or when you control 100 percent of the map—a rare feat that only elite players achieve.
